My name is Nell O'Hara (she/her) and I am a performance/movement artist, theatre maker and facilitator based in Glasgow, making devised and collaborative work. I am a passionate story collector who takes great delight in listening to the lives of others, creating work with and for communities about what is important to them. I work in a contemporary way, constantly pushing the conventional boundaries of theatre, aiming to find new and innovative ways to best serve a particular story. I explore a lot with movement as I believe it can elevate and embellish a performance in ways text cannot. I enjoy seeing how different bodies move, interact and react to the world around them. Within my work, I strive to provoke my audience, be that to laugh, cry, question, be questioned, feel angry, or understood. Whatever it is, I want my audience to come away feeling something, passionately. I believe this is when work can invoke the most change.
